The Portland-based AI research and engineering firm, Manceps (https://www.manceps.com/), hosted Dan Sullivan at Pie & AI: Northwest last week. Dan is a Principal Engineer and Architect with New Relic where he focuses on cloud and data architecture. He is the author of several books, including Google’s official study guides for the Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Architect, and Professional Data Engineer certifications.nnManceps CEO, Al Kari, gave the introductory talk in which he discussed the ways that new entrants into the AI space can use certification as a way to land better jobs. “At Manceps,” the CEO explained, “we require all of our AI experts to get their Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification within 6 weeks of joining our company.” Mr. Kari hopes this and certifications like it will continue to bring standardization and quality assurance to this quickly evolving industry.
