Pie & AI: Houston-Build a career in Data Science

The first PIE&AI event in Houston: Let’s talk about building a career in data science! It was hosted by Houston machine learning meetup on Jan 18 (sponsored by PROS Inc), on 24th floor with beautiful view of Houston downtown. The panel includes data science leaders in Houston, from oil&gas, software and consulting companies. The panel discussion include: How to get started; What it takes to transition to industry; How to land a job/internship; and Career development. The panel has also discussed the importance of soft skills such as telling stories of data and effective communication. The event ended with networking with delicious PIEs!
